The Good News!
God desires to have a relationship with each one of us!
However, there is a problem. We are all born sinners and God and sin don’t mix. But, the good news is that God has made a way for us to be right with Him. All we have to do is to receive His gift of grace, the gift of everlasting life. There is just one simple step involved in receiving this gift and that is to believe what the Bible says, including …
Our sin has separated us from God and there are eternal consequences for our sin.
‘For the wages of sin is death …’ (Romans 6:23)
We are all sinners in need of saving.
‘…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.’ (Romans 3:23)
By believing that God the Son died on the cross for our sins we are saved.
‘…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.’ (Romans 10:9)
The Father sent His Son Jesus into the world to pay the penalty for our sins.
“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29)
One simple prayer is all you need.
If you would like to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, all you
need to do is pray a simple prayer of faith. You could say something
like this:
“Lord, I know I am a sinner and I want to ask you to please forgive me for my sins. I want to turn away from my old ways and follow You. Would you please come into my life and become the Lord of my life. In Jesus’ Name.”
With that prayer of faith, the Bible tells us that you have been
transferred from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of light. You
are a child of God! Please keep reading to learn more about what it
means to be a Christian.
What now?
Once we are saved, there is more good news. God has plans for our lives! At the heart of those plans is a lifelong journey of getting to know God through a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
