What now?
Once we are saved, there is more good news. God has plans for our lives! At the heart of those plans is a lifelong journey of getting to know God through a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
If you prayed a prayer of faith and received Jesus as your Savior, there are a few key steps that will help you nurture and grow your newfound relationship with Jesus.
Step 1
We get to Jesus by Reading God's Word
Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come — In the volume of the book it is written of Me — To do Your will, O God.’ ” (Hebrews 10:7)
Step 2
We develop a closer relationship with Jesus, and learn God's will by praying.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Step 3
We remain steadfast in our walk with the Lord by being in fellowship with other believers.
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrew 10:24-25)
Step 4
As we follow the Lord by obeying His Word, Jesus has promised to produce fruit in and through our lives.
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)
